Ever hear of The Higley? Well, America’s obsession with lists compelled someone ("The Higley") to identify America’s 1,000 wealthiest neighborhoods. We mention that because of the small “town” of Williams Creek in north Marion County which ranks #298 on that list.
The original planners of Williams Creek must’ve done it up right. In 1925, the area was originally planned as a community for the wealthy. Incorporated as a town in 1932, it was annexed into metropolitan Indianapolis in the 1970’s. The town of Williams Creek is about 8 miles due north of downtown Indianapolis, just off the main north/south drag Meridian Street.
Today, it remains an exclusive community, a suburb of Indianapolis, an enclave (noun: A portion of territory within or surrounded by a larger territory whose inhabitants are culturally or ethnically distinct) featuring mostly large, estate homes built between 1930 and 1960. Not many more than 150 homes and 400 residents call Williams Creek their home. Many of those original homes have been extensively updated remodeled in the past two decades.
If you’re ready to find a home for sale in Williams Creek, you’ve come to the right place!
