Is a Career in Real Estate Right for You?
Throughout our many years in the real estate business, we've learned that successful real estate associates possess certain characteristics:
-
Hard worker - There's no short-cut for hard work in the real estate business. Successful associates must have both the time and stamina to devote to their clients and their business.
-
Self-starter - "If it's to be, it's up to me" is the attitude the top agents in this business possess. As an independent contractor associated with our firm, you have to be in charge of yourself.
-
Organized - The more personally organized you are, the greater likelihood for success in your career.

-
A good communicator - Communication, especially the ability to listen to your clients' needs, is a key element of a sales associate's success.
-
Self-confident - Having the confidence in your knowledge and in your company are critical to your career success. Carpenter's Success Training Programs will instill that confidence in you.
-
Service-focused - Putting the client's interests first is a must for all real estate agents. At Carpenter, we know a "service-focused" attitude is the keystone to a successful career.
-
Having a positive attitude - A positive outlook on life and career are critical for productive agents.
-
Supported in their relationships at home - Successful agents enjoy the support and understanding of their families, as the demanding nature of the business can be challenging to their families as well.
-
Financially stable - The real estate business is such that a new agent must have financial reserves to weather those first few months of their career. In addition, there are necessary start-up costs associated with a new career in real estate.
